Our Pastor

Pastor Barbara R. Norfor Lynch was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 27, 1955. Because of her father’s military career, she enjoyed the opportunity of living in New Jersey, Japan, and Delaware before returning to Albuquerque in 1970. She was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 13 at God’s House Church in Albuquerque. After graduating from high school in 1973, Pastor Barbara married Emanuel Norfor and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. In 1979, after the birth of their two children, Shalena “Shay” and Robert, the Lord called the Norfors to begin a work in Roswell. For over 38 years, Pastor Barbara was a faithful and loving wife to her beloved husband, District Elder Emanuel Norfor, and served as his assistant pastor for over 31 years before assuming the pastorate following his death in February 2011.  On December 5, 2017, Pastor Barbara married her high school crush, Michael L. Lynch.

Pastor Barbara received a dual bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education and graduated magna cum laude from Eastern New Mexico University. She also obtained her master’s degree in Education, with an emphasis in Administration, from Eastern New Mexico University and won numerous academic awards throughout her college career.
