    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Psalm 51:1-18 (NIV)

Sometimes we end up in places we never thought we would be, and we have to ask the question, “how did I get here.” I’m normally very happy, but now I am struggling with depression, oppression, and stress—How did I get here?

Can You Imagine the Promises God has for You
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:20, 2 Peter 1:4 (NLT)

We don’t sing songs like, STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD anymore, songs with meaning and truth. Although God’s absolute trustworthiness has been consistently demonstrated over a long time. The scripture shows unequivocally that God keeps His promises. They are His commitment to us, His guarantee to do what He says He will do. So today I want to ask you this question:  CAN YOU IMAGINE THE PROMISES OF GOD?

There are promises that God has promised to give to the church, there are promises that God has promised to give to a nation, and there are promises that God has promised to give to each and every individual, going to another level involves getting to the promises God has promised you.

Nothing But the Dog in Me—A Caleb Spirit
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Numbers 14:20-24 (NKJV)

Caleb means, faithful, devotion, and whole hearted. Caleb was of the tribe of Judah, he was a leader and one of the twelve spies that were sent to search out the promised land, Caleb of the tribe of Judah and Joshua of the tribe of Ephraim gave a positive report to Moses and the Children of Israel. Caleb is noted for his astute powers of observation and fearlessness in the face of overwhelming odds; and his devotion to God.  In some traditions he is symbolized by the DOG. The Dog is a symbol for companionship and a guardian, a symbol of loyalty, faithfulness, honesty and a willingness to fight injustice, now you kind of understand,

NOTHING BUT THE DOG IN ME – A CALEB SPIRIT.

    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
Scripture: Job 22:28, Proverbs 18:20-21 (NASB)

Death and Life is not in the power of the devil. So many times we say the devil is trying to destroy me and true that is his job, but sometimes it’s not the devil it’s the words we speak into our own lives.

Falling in Love with Jesus All Over Again
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Revelation 2:1-7 (KJV)

Today, many people in the church are in a state of confusion. Outwardly, things look well, but inwardly, the heart is no longer filled with love for Jesus. Many church folks go through the motions trying to act like everything is alright, trying to replace that which they have lost with emotionalism; however, trying live the so-called Christian life without being filled with agape love for Jesus Christ will cause you to wind up empty and just a shell of what God intends for you to have and be.  What you need today is to—FALL IN LOVE WITH JESUS ALL OVER AGAIN!

    Scripture: Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV)

God is a spirit and has no flesh and bones, which means there is no physical likeness, then to be created in His image and likeness must mean that we are not physically like God, but spiritually created in His image and likeness. See this physical body is dust, but the spiritual man, the inner part of us is like God.

This is Why We Do What We Do—Baptism
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Acts 2:38 (NKJV)

Many Christians are going through the motions of being saved without truly understanding why they do what they do. They often do it because of tradition, that’s the way mom and dad did it. Some do it because their friends are doing it. Some do it because it’s the in thing right now. Some do it because the preacher said to. However, I strongly believe that you need to know without a shadow of a doubt THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO WHEN WE BAPTISE IN JESUS NAME. In this day and time there are a lot of false teachers, false doctrines, and just plain blatant lies; and you need to know WHY YOU DO WHAT YOU DO.

This is Why We Do What We Do—Repentance
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Acts 2:38 (NKJV)

Some preachers, regardless of their denomination and theological stance, seem to indicate that nothing else is necessary for salvation other than saying a little unbiblical prayer. They indicate this by saying nothing about the one thing that is an absolute necessity for salvation. That absolute is REPENTANCE. THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO.
