Let’s Celebrate What God is Doing
Speaker: Pastor Barbara
Scripture: Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)

When we look at our history, we see a long journey that has brought us through the wilderness to our present state. We often gather together to celebrate, commemorate, and rededicate ourselves to God, who is responsible for our lives. Each time we meet, it marks an important anniversary, a milestone of faith, and another time to reflect and unify ourselves for the rest of the journey.

    Enter in with Praise
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Psalm 30:4-12 (NKJV)

When we release a sound of praise, the Earth must respond. There is a tangible change in the Atmosphere. The God of creation extracts a response from his creation.  It’s not our singing that brings a change in the Atmosphere.  It’s our praise and worship that attracts the Lord and leads us into His Glory!

Zip Your Lip—Constructive Criticism or Cynicism (Continued)
    peaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: James 1:26-27 (NIV)

The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue.  The Lord wants us to speak life and not death.  People have said, I only give “constructive criticism.”  The only criticism that is ever constructive is that which is expressed in LOVE to BUILD UP, and not to tear down.

    The Power of the Resurrection
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: John 10:17-18, Ephesians 2:4-6

Here is what we need to understand from Jesus’ resurrection. In order for the power to be made available for us, Jesus had to die and be resurrected. Had He died and stayed in the grave, His message of love would have lasted for a few years, but it would have eventually faded away. Had He stayed in the grave, we would still be afraid of death today because when we died, that would be it. Had he stayed in the grave, we would still be hell bound and eternally separated from God. Because Jesus was resurrected, the pain that He went through was not the end, but the beginning.
