I May Be Weak Today, But I Am Anointed
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture 2 Samuel 3:39 (KJV)

There may be something that stops you in your tracks. You will come to a point in your Christian walk where you stop and look up to heaven and ask God why me and maybe even do you care.

Living in God’s Kingdom on Earth (Part 14)
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Matthew 6:5-15 (NKJV)

When you read what Jesus says, you see clearly that this prayer is a prayer of a son or daughter to a loving Father. This prayer is about relationship, not formality. This is why Jesus says that we are to pray in private versus in public to be seen of men. We are to have a private, personal, intimate conversation with God Who desires this type of interaction with us.

In this message we examine what Jesus said about how we should treat our enemies. This follows what we covered Wednesday where Jesus talked about how we should be willing to turn the other cheek. To be a part of His kingdom, we must learn to love our enemies.

Living in God’s Kingdom on Earth (Part 10)
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Matthew 5:33-37 (NKJV)

In Part 10 of this series we will examine what Jesus said about making an oath. In this message we see that as a Christian our word should be our bond - it should be proof enough of our intention or past actions. We should never have to make an oath to ensure someone believes what we are saying.

Living in God’s Kingdom on Earth (Part 4)
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Matthew 5:10-12 (NKJV)

In Part 4 of this series we look at what Jesus said about being persecuted and our response to persecution once we begin living in His kingdom.  We all know that not every persecution we experience is because of our being righteous. No, a lot of our persecutions are because of something we have done that was not righteous at all. I want us to understand the difference. Persecution is persecution, but the reason for the persecution is the issue.

Living in God’s Kingdom on Earth (Part 2)
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Matthew 5:5-6 (NKJV)

In Part two of this series we examine what Jesus said about the meek and those hungering and thirsting for righteousness. Some people hear the word meek, and they immediately think of someone who is weak. This is far from the meaning of this word. Meekness is the opposite of being out of control. It is not a weakness, but supreme self-control empowered by the Spirit of God dwelling within us. In order for us to begin hungering and thirsting after righteousness, we must believe that Christ rules and Satan has been stripped of his power. We must believe that even though we live in this world, as disciples of Christ we are not bound by the values of this world.

    Unity In the Church
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Ephesians 4:1-6 (NKJV)

Prayer works, and we are beginning to see the results of prayer. God is blessing and people are going to be added to the church as many as should be here. There are going to be different personalities, ideologies, methods, ways of thinking, and attitudes. For those of us that have been here there may be the tendency to feel as though you may not know a person enough and you just can’t find yourself getting close to them quickly. Well you need to rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus and realize that in order to be effective there must be unity.
