    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Speaker: Luke 2:25-32 (NIV)

What will God have to do for us for us to change how we communicate with Him? Will we have to experience a life and death situation? Will we have to experience the loss of something we hold dear and have it replaced? Will we have to be down to our last dime before we will reach out to Him in a way unfamiliar to us? What is your worst case scenario that you must come through before you are willing to change how you communicate with your loving heavenly Father?

    Lord, Set Us On Fire
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Luke 3:15-16 (NKJV)

As we read of fires today and years gone by, it should help us to remember one of the greatest fires ever ignited. This fire was not a fire that destroyed structures, forest, animals, or lives, but it was a fire that set the hearts of men, women, boys, and girls ablaze everywhere it went. This fire started about 2,000 years ago and it is still burning today in the hearts of those who will let it.

    It Is Finished
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: John 19:28-30 (AMP)

For us today and for generations to come after if the Lord tarries means that because of the work finished on the Cross Jesus has provided the solution to man’s sin and the way to God Himself.

    A Mother’s Precious Love—Mother’s Day
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Exodus 2:1-10 (NKJV)

Today, I want to look at how God took the love of three women to save a baby from death. It features the daughter of Pharaoh in two roles, initially that of daughter and eventually also of an adoptive mother. We also will look at Moses’ biological mother Jochebed (jo ka bed) she did everything she could to preserve the life of her child. Finally, Moses’ sister Miriam who loved him and watched over him even able to recruit his mother to nurse him. Regardless of the circumstances that a mother encounters, her first duty is that of love and care. A Mother’s Precious Love through wisdom will understand that God will often use means beyond our understanding to accomplish His perfect will.

    Losing Your Religion
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: John 3:1-10 (NKJV)

Nicodemus came to Jesus certain that God’s blessing was predicated on keeping a rigid set of laws, believing that he needed to do something in order to earn God’s care. But in that nocturnal meeting Jesus began to chip away at that certainty, to deconstruct and undo what Nicodemus believed. This undoing of his certainty that blessings flow from rigid adherence to God’s law and that God’s love was predicated on our actions, this undoing was necessary for him to experience anew the miracle of being born from above, the miracle of a gift which has nothing to do what we know or what we do.

    There Is Power In Forgiveness
    Speaker: Pastor Barbara
    Scripture: Matthew 10:28-33 (NKJV)

After Jesus rose from the dead, He forgave Peter for denying Him three times. When Peter received that forgiveness, he was empowered to fulfill his commission. THERE IS POWER IN FORGIVENESS - when we receive it and when we give it!  As you have received forgiveness, go forth now and empower others by forgiving them. This is a true result from the resurrection.
